HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO BOOK MY PROJECT? 

We're currently booking projects approximately 1-3 months in advance. The sooner you let me know the details of the project, the better. This allows me to budget my time appropriately and give each of my clients the time and focus they deserve. It also acts as a safeguard for my clients to ensure they have enough time to complete your pre-design project work.
 

DO YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS AROUND THE WORLD?

Yes! I am currently based in Chicago but consider myself a digital nomad having worked and traveled all over the world! I have the great honor and privilege of working with clients from around the globe. With the help of a fast internet connection, I am only a quick email, call or video chat away!


DO YOU OFFER PAYMENT PLANS?

A deposit of 50% is required prior to starting your project. The remaining balance will be made over an option of one or two payments via bank deposit or Credit Card. If you choose to split the remaining project fee into 2 payments, the 2nd payment is due mid-project and the 3rd is due upon project completion.
 

IS MY INITIAL DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?

All initial deposits are nonrefundable. I book projects sometimes several months ahead of time, and scheduling ensures that I give all of my clients the proper amount of time and attention that a project deserves. As a result, I do turn away clients for your reserved time slot. In the event that you back out of the project, you may leave an empty spot that could have been given to another project. The deposits ensure that clients are serious about moving forward with the project. I do, however, allow for extenuating circumstances as life happens. These will be evaluated by me on a case-by-case basis.
 

WHAT IS THE DESIGN PROCESS?

We will have a thorough initial consultation followed by the pre-design client discovery phase, and then the designing begins. Your brand identity and logo design come first, then website design utilizing those elements. Finally, we have an hour-long off-boarding training screenshare on managing your new Squarespace website. 

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DO NOT GET MY WRITING AND PHOTOGRAPHY TO YOU BY MY DUE DATE?  

Our start date and timelines are made with you in mind. I do not take on more than 2 major projects at a time to ensure my clients have the attention and focus from me that they deserve. If you are not able to finish your Client Homework on time, you jeopardize a more distracted and less available designer. If you are worried about staying on-deadline and would like some extra help to ensure you have the support you need to do so, scheduling empowerment sessions with Founder, Jenny, might be the perfect solution for you!
 

DO I NEED TO HAVE MY TEXT AND IMAGES READY BEFORE THE PROJECT STARTS? 

Yes. It is the content that shapes and inspires the design. You are the originator of your brand’s content, I am the creator of the design! It is not uncommon for my clients to be ready for a new website, with nothing written and no photography or images taken or curated. The pre-design client discovery work will help give you the time and guidance you need in order to gather all of the content and assets we need to create the best possible product(s) for your business. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive list of resources including copywriters and photographers (in the Chicagoland area) if you’d like help producing this content for your brand!


DO YOU USE A CONTRACT?

Yes, all Bloom clients are required to sign a contract and make a deposit to reserve your spot on my calendar! This is for both Bloom and my client’s best interest. You may view Bloom's terms here.

 

HOW LONG WILL THE DESIGN PROCESS TAKE?

Each client and project is different. If you have a deadline in mind please let me know at the beginning of the process and I will let you know if it is achievable. When we start working together, I will send you a design proposal that outlines your project timeline so you know when you can expect to hear from us and when we expect to hear from you.

TECH SUPPORT MEMBERSHIP

HOW CAN YOU HELP ME AFTER OUR PROJECT IS FINISHED?

Yes! We’ve just started offering our clients Squarespace website update services via our Tech Support Membership. For a monthly fee, membership includes on-going minor website updates. Read more about this service here.
 

DO YOU PROVIDE HOURLY TECH SUPPORT PACKAGES?

Unfortunately, we do not provide tech support at hourly rates at this time. However, message us about your specific request and let's chat about how best to meet your needs!

 

WHAT ARE THE LIMITS TO THE SUPPORT YOU PROVIDE?

We perform minor site edits and updates with our Tech Support Membership. Larger website updates and design-related changes fall outside of the scope of the Membership but are offered at discounted rate. Contact us for more information or to receive a quote.
 

DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO A TECH SUPPORT MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT?

Nope! The monthly service is billed using a recurring subscription. There are no contracts to sign, setup fees or cancellation fees. You are required to commit to the first two months of your subscription when you purchase. After 2-months, you can cancel your membership at any time.
